Zum ersten Mal hab ich den ersten Band von Attack on Titan gelesen。 Es war eine gute Erfahrung， aber ich muss sagen dass ich die Reihenfolge der Szenen im Anime besser finde， da man mehr Zeit über die Haupt- und Nebencharacter zu erfahren hat， und die Auswikung vom Schlacht in Trost-Distrikt viel starker im Anime ist。 Von diesem Band allein kann man nicht ahnen dass AOT ein so großes Phänomen würde， und eins der besten Mangas und Shows （nicht nur Animes） aller Zeit würde。 Es gibt Hinweise auf ei Zum ersten Mal hab ich den ersten Band von Attack on Titan gelesen。 Es war eine gute Erfahrung， aber ich muss sagen dass ich die Reihenfolge der Szenen im Anime besser finde， da man mehr Zeit über die Haupt- und Nebencharacter zu erfahren hat， und die Auswikung vom Schlacht in Trost-Distrikt viel starker im Anime ist。 Von diesem Band allein kann man nicht ahnen dass AOT ein so großes Phänomen würde， und eins der besten Mangas und Shows （nicht nur Animes） aller Zeit würde。 Es gibt Hinweise auf ein Rätsel， aber der Anime hat das meiner Meinung nach viel besser gezeigt。 。。。more

Reading this after watching the anime。 I’ve been watching the anime for a while now and I can’t escape the spoilers so I’ll read it myself 😪This is one of those instances where I like anime more so far。 Maybe it’s cause I watched it first and the voice actors and ost are what makes it better。 Still looking forward to reading the rest。

I'll be honest。。。I'll be honest， I went into this thinking I would not like it as much as I did。 The story of humanity being sequestered inside walls from the outside world to protect them from humanoid like Titans， to the tale of how Eren and Mikasa lost their mother， by said Titans， after a new， larger Titan called Colossus Titan destroyed the wall that had saved humanity from the gigantic threats for over 100 years。 Then five year later， Eren and Mikasa， along with their friend Armin， graduat I'll be honest。。。I'll be honest， I went into this thinking I would not like it as much as I did。 The story of humanity being sequestered inside walls from the outside world to protect them from humanoid like Titans， to the tale of how Eren and Mikasa lost their mother， by said Titans， after a new， larger Titan called Colossus Titan destroyed the wall that had saved humanity from the gigantic threats for over 100 years。 Then five year later， Eren and Mikasa， along with their friend Armin， graduated at the top of their class giving them the choice to serve in the inter most wall as royal guards， join the Garrison and be the first line protectors of the remaining walls， or join the survey corps and explore the outside world while defeating Titans and keeping them at bay。It pulled me in and left me wanting more。However， my only beef would be that the Titans creep me out。 I'm OK with the sometimes gruesome images of the Titans pulling people apart and eating them limb by limb， but the Titans themselves are disturbing to me。 The main reason is how some， especially Colossus Titan， are depicted without skin， mostly on their facial features showing the underlying tendons and muscles。 To be clear， while that discourage me from reading Attack on Titan in the first place， I do not believe it'll stop me from reading further。While the first volume is mainly for the setup of the story， it already shows great potential to the characters for their evolution that is sure to shine through the rest of the volumes。 The author does a beautiful job weaving the past and the present together seamlessly， in a way of how books transition from present to past through chapters， Hajime Isayama does so within each chapter of the manga making it feel as if I'm reading the dialogue of a novel while watching the scenes with brilliant illustrations。The art matches the theme and overall feel of the story very well。 Not just the action scenes， but also the tender moments， like when Mikasa worries about Eren and tells him that she'll protect him and not to die， （she comes off like a odd duck， I like her，） or when Eren and Armin dreamed of journeying to the outside world when they were younger。 I also liked how Hajime Isayama explained the mechanisms that let the troops seamlessly fly through the air， that was a nice touch。Overall I like the story and art and will continue to read vol 2 and up。 。。。more

This is the first manga I have ever read。 （I’ve never even read a comic book！） Not bad after getting used to the process of reading backwards。 I do think I would like it better with more words and less pictures， but overall I would read more of the series。
